The Process

When designing a website, collaboration with the client is key.

1. Fill out the contact form below. Once Jay receives your inquiry, she will reach out about more information and assets associated with the website, such as branding, functionality, pertinent wording, etc.

2. Jay will come up with various concept boards (no less than three) for your website, FREE OF CHARGE. Concept boards consists of utilizing provided assets to showcase web designs that align with the brand. Once concept boards are completed, Jay will schedule a time to meet, whether virtually or in person, to present the designs and discuss next steps.
Next steps include: picking a design (or elements from designs), ensuring a domain is purchased, discussing best service to use for the website, such as WordPress or Squarespace, (and whether a separate hosting service is required), and a tentative completion timeline. Service and domain purchasing are completed by the client.

3. For $50 per hour, Jay will construct the website. While building the website, a running document will be shared with the client that outlines what has been completed on the website, when it was worked on, and how long it was worked on. This will provide the client with a detailed explanation of the amount on the invoice.

4. When the initial website construction is complete, Jay will send an invoice and once again meet with the client to present the website and discuss any changes. Any requested changes will be a charge of $20 per hour. The website will not be published until the invoice is paid (payment plans are available for discussion).

5. Upon completion of the website, it is highly recommended the client meets with Jay to learn how to make quick, minor adjustments to the website or a section of the website, if the purpose of the website may call for it.

After completion of the website, any requested changes will be a charge of $20 per hour.
